Hi,
One of the functions of a horn connected to a wave guide is to match impedance to free space (377 ohm) . But none of the articles and equations I’ve read about waveguides and horns goes any further into this aspect, focusing on gain and directionality only. So my question is what aspect of design gets you the best SWR? Do you just assume that when you have maximum gain ,you have achieved best impedance match? I’m curious why no one discusses this aspect of horn design. Any help here? Thanks john |
