Importing DX-Base into new logging software? | N1EDM | on 14/3/15 |
Hi Zack, DXKeeper didn't work, unfortunately. DXKeeper and all the other logging programs are looking for an ADIF file that has already been created by DXBase. This is where my problem lies - I don't have that ADIF File. I am trying to find a way to create one. Thanks for the suggestion though. If you or anyone else out there has any thoughts, I'm all ears. I appreciate anything that can help, Bob |

Importing DX-Base into new logging software? | N1EDM | on 13/3/15 |
I'm trying to get back into ham radio and contesting again. My old DX logging software was DX-Base and I have a MDB file of my contacts. I see that DX-Base stopped making updates in 2007. I am in need of new logging software. The Primary Driver in the selection process will be the ability to import my old DX-Base database (probably Microsoft Access 1997) into the new software. Yes, it's been a long time...... Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Bob |

Software suggestions for controlling a Yaesu FT-920 | N1EDM | on 8/12/13 |
I'm getting back into ham radio but I'm a little rusty after 15 years. I have a nice Yaesu FT-920 (bought in 1998) but the way things are set up, it's tough to get at. I'd like to control it remotely with my PC. What are the best softwares out there for general operation and some mild contesting? Also, will the FT-920 operate using a serial-to-USB cable, and if so, do I need special drivers/interfaces??? Thanks in advance, 73, Bob, N1EDM |
