cw on vhf??

If you're digging into the noise for DX, CW is much better than SSB, and SSB is a lot better than FM. So, yes, CW is used for weak signal work, although digimodes like JT65 are competitive with - or better than - CW. 73 Martin AA6E |

There's a good amount of CW activity on six meters especially when the band is open. I worked ten states last time! Mark |

CW works better for double hop E-Skip on 6M than JT65--the band will often come and go before you can complete a JT65 contact. Most, if not all, of my 6M contacts with Europe have been on CW. Both of my 2M EME QSOs have been on CW. Zack W1VT |
