I am looking to provision a APRS-i gateway with as few components, as possible to get from ANT to Ethernet. Looking to mirror a similar setup I have between my David Research Vantage Pro 2 and the Internet. I use a HauteSpot HR-IXP-WIND WiFi Internet Weather Station Appliance .. this is a diskless, fanless, purpose build (Windows CE based, I think), controller that is rated at 10W, and draws about 4W. The device is 4"x4"x1" and wall mounted in the shack. Any thoughts I how I could do this? Perhaps there is a radio, with an Ethernet jack and a build in TNC .. or ? 73's Steve VE7ORA |

Have you seen http://hackaday.com/2010/07/23/terminal-node-controller-in-a-router/ where the author re-purposed a Dlink DSL-502T router as a TNC for APRS-IS? |
