I listen to a long standing VHF daily net and notice the occasional operator call himself the "net facilitator" rather than net control. Can you tell which is preferred? gmjones5@frontier.com. Appreciate your reply. Gary, (WB7DIE) |

It does not matter which term is used. Some operators may not like the term, "Control"; "Facilitator" sounds less controlling to those who don't like being told what to do. This topic has nothing to do with the A-1 Club. |

I received my membership several years ago, from an anonymous source. I really don't know who submitted my name. Is there a way to find out who/how I was submitted for membership? Or is this a " normal" occurrence? Thanks. I'm proud to display it on my shack wall anyway. |

To W5YE, As far as I know, there is no way of knowing who nominated us for the A-1 Op Club award. I received my award years ago and was very surprised when it arrived in the mail. |

Is the A-1 Operators club still in existence? I was told be my SCM that the League is no longer handling the club. |

Same thing happened with both of my nominations. I simply wrote to the ARRL and asked them and they provided the information. Neither nomination was a "buddy nomination" and I knew neither of the nominators. I wrote to each and thanked them. |

I see that I have one nomination for A-1 Operator. Maybe one day I will get the second one. I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw my call on the list. Thank you whoever nominated me. |
