Please add a WAS forum to the Awards section so that we can ask questions about WAS related issues. Thanks! |

It unclear to me if the basic WAS award can be all states of course with mixed bands and or mixed modes. Help appreciated. Thanks, KI4EBD |

As I understand it, Basic WAS is mixed mode and all MF/HF bands, 160-10m. 73, de Nate >> N0NB.us |

http://www.arrl.org/files/file/Worked%20All%20States/WAS%20Rules2011.pdf You can use any band except 60 meters. "Two-way communications must be established on amateur bands with each state. Specialty awards and endorsements must be two-way (2X) on that band and/or mode. There is no minimum signal report required. Any or all bands may be used for general WAS (excluding 60 Meters (5 MHz))." Zack Lau W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |
