I'm building two full-size inverted vees, one for 75M and one for 40M. The supports are common to both antennas: the center support is a 30' tower and the end supports are 13' wooden poles. The 75M antenna is on top. Each antenna is fed with RG8 and has its own choke. They'll be just a few feet apart vertically. With all the materials available to go either way, would there be any advantage in making it a two-band fan dipole instead (say, from an interaction or SWR bandwidth point of view)? |

Typically fan dipoles fare worse in terms of SWR interaction and SWR bandwidth than separate dipoles. Zak Lau W1VT ARRL Senior Lab Engineer |

Thanks, Zak, that's what I was looking for. |
