Amplifying FT 891

Has anyone successfully matted the 891 with an amplifier ? The only amp listed by Yaesu as compatible (VL 1000) is out of production. I have also read the ARRL 891 QST Review, which states a concern re the rigs gain control, as effecting its ability to use amplification. Looking for actual user assist. Thanks Hank KA2AFS |
