Radials

Hi,
When using a vertical with radials, do the radials need to be straight?
Thought about curved (arc), zig-zag, bent at 90 degree or in a circle. The goal is to use a vertical in a small space.

I don't recall studies showing a benefit to doing that.

Bending antenna wires typically results in a loss of efficiency. It is hard to make something small without giving something up.

There are studies that show that short straight radials are a good compromise if you use more radials. This is a practical option for a small space.
