I have a 2m Diamond vertical antenna of 1995 vintage. Fiberglass body, 8' tall. I know I need to ground the radio itself, but what are the recommendations for grounding the antenna - or is it necessary? The manual that came with the antenna doesn't address its grounding. Is the antenna grounded through the coax shielding to the radio itself?
Thank you for any advice!

National Electrical Code 810 addresses grounding.
If you prefer pictures to words Tom W8JI has a web page on grounding that discusses different options.

We also sell a book on grounding by Ward N0AX
