IRLP NODE CODES

I am a newbie with IRLP and do not want to foul the system at W1AW with an error on my part. I have the NODE CODE to log in at a local NODE. But I would like to have the process told to me for logging into the code practice sessions. How do I log in at W1AW and equally important, how do I log off. The IRLP guide material said that the NODE CODES are specific to each NODE. I saw one NODE CODE for termination of a contact as being 73. This sounds like a logical code but is it what W1AW uses. Is it proper to use W1AW for training purposes on IRLP or does it occupy too much time on such a contact? Thank you Jim Gayner KD6YUP

That being said, if you'd still like to receive CW practice (and bulletins) via the Internet, you can always use our EchoLink Conference Server W1AWBDCT. Obviously, you'd have to install EchoLink and get your callsign validated (assuming you've not already done so).
