Hello, We don't seem to get many PSK31 contacts, (30 this year) I was wondering if we should be using a different mode ? I know there is some RTTY activity, or a different PSK mode? I am curious how well other groups did with the digital modes in the 2017 Field Day operations. Any comments or advice will be greatly appreciated.... Thanks Marv N9WN |

We had a guy doing PSK-31, he got well over 100 contacts. It works quite well. I did JT65 for a couple hours, it was tilting at windmills. I made a few contacts, but they didn't count. The problem is that there's no protocol for getting the state and category, and it's impossible to explain what you want 16 characters at a time. |

PSK-31 worked well for me last few FDs.I assume FT8 will be popular next year. If you reset the GRID location to reflex the class and section, it should be a work around the limited character issue. |
