Using fldigi psk31, I can receive qso from other hams communicatihg. My cq does not receive. Only uninteligable words. 20 meters KC6BIU |

The most common problem is over-modulation that causes splatter (very broad signal) that cannot be decoded by anyone else. If you are using a typical 100 W transceiver, make sure that your output power level is not more than about 30 W. (Turn down mic gain.) Shut off any voice processor. Make sure that your ALC light (if you have one) never comes on. This should minimize distortion and get you a clean signal on the air. 73 Martin AA6E |
