I heard the show on meteor scatter on "The Doctor is in" ARRL podcast.

I cranked up my Yaesu - 857 with an ATAS-120a on my bumper with JT-65 and went looking for QSO's on 10 meters thru 70 cm. but no joy.

What am I doing wrong? I got the impression that meteors were constantly ionizing the ionosphere. Is there an optimum time for meteor scatter?

This site describes how to make meteor scatter contacts using FSK441A. JT65 is optimized for EME rather than meteor scatter.
