I logged in on the nationwide DMR talk group and some guy came back sating he was on a "bridge". I didn't get his call or QTH , but he had a really broad southern accent.

I al so found another new talk group called "bridge" what is that? Some link to dstar? But which repeater and/or reflector?

He was referring to internet connectivity--DMR repeaters are normally connected to each other via the internet.

Typically a connection between two different digital systems is called a "gateway."

OK

There is currently a DMR talk group titled "Bridge". I haven't been able to get a call back on it. I'm curious, but it's not as much fun as the "France" talk group.
