best radio on market today

I have been looking at a lot of different base radios. In looking I see everybody has the best radio on the market. I have been looking for an all band system and I have become confused as to what I should be looking for. I admit I am not great at knowing electronics. There is no "best" radio for all situations, and other than saying that you want an all-band radio (HF/VHF/UHF) you haven't given us much to work with. Which modes do you like to use (voice/CW/digital)? Do you enjoy contesting, or are you primarily a ragchewer? Do you plan to chase DX? Do you operate primarily from a fixed location? Do you plan to do any portable operating? Do you want to be able to take the radio with you on vacation? What is your budget? Do you want to buy new equipment or are you willing to buy a used radio?
