I have lived in apartments and have had antenna restrictions for many years, never getting on low bands with an occasional repeater contact. I think I could bounce signals off buildings if I could build loop yagis. I built the 1295 loop yagi as in the arrl handbook but this did not include technical info for other frequencies, you know enter the diameter of element, frequency, gain, etc. I couldn't afford a transceiver so I never found out if it worked. Although I have built many quad and linear element yagis using quad or yagi calculator on the internet, I have not been able to find a loop yagi calculator for ghz frequencies. |

http://www.flambda.com/antenna1.html The only loop yagi programs I recall were written in Basic, which won't run on modern operating systems. But, you may be able to run Basic under an emulator. Zack W1VT |
