Cushcraft R7 40m Section

I use a Cushcraft R7 vertical as my HF antenna. Only problem when I bought it, it has the 20m trap and then a top peace, that I presume is "AF", so its missing the 30m trap and 40m section. I was told I could add a piece of Aluminium onto the "AF" piece and then be able to tune for 40m, however does anyone know what length I should add on? Thanks, 73, Evan ZS6ELI |
