About PRARC
The Paso Robles Amateur Radio Club is a group of Ham Radio enthusiasts from San Luis Obispo and Monterey counties.
History
The club was started in the 1940's by John Derby, W6LKF, owner of Derby’s Radio Shop, located at 827 13th Street in Paso Robles. From an early sixties call book, W6LKF was the club call sign of the PRARC. It’s not known when the club took over John’s call. The club has been an ARRL affiliate club since 1948.
