The Olympia Amateur Radio Society (OARS) is an ARRL special services club dedicated to promoting and supporting amateur radio in Olympia, WA and Thurston County. OARS is affiliated with Thurston County ARES and jointly supports many events such as the MS Walk, Capital City Marathon, road rallys and Scout night hike with our communications capabilities. We meet monthly at 7 pm with testing sessions second Wednesday of each month beginning at 5 pm. . Quality education programs are given during each meeting. You do not have to be a member to attend our meetings; all are welcome! OARS has 3 linked repeaters with information on the website. The website also has up to date testing and meeting information.
