The purpose of the Lake Country Amateur Radio Service is to educate and increase the proficiency of its members in the science of radio communications.
To educate the general public in regard to amateur radio.
To provide amateur radio license classes and test sessions.
To assist public service organizations by providing communications services.
We are located in Southside Virginia ,which borders North Carolina. Our members are from both sides of John Kerr Reservoir. The Virginia side consist of but are not limited to Mecklenburg, Charlotte, Lunenburg and Brunswick Counties. Our North Carolina amateurs consist of but are not limited to Vance, Granville and Warren counties.
We are a non profit 501 C organization established 2005.
