LEADING THE WAY IN AMATEUR RADIO FOR BULLOCH AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES

Successful radio clubs are a joy to experience. Easy to spot, they are usually populated by enthusiastic, gung-ho members who are involved with a full agenda of interesting things. They are generally at the center of most Amateur Radio activities in town.
D. E. "Dee" Logan, W1HEO

Alpha Radio Club was established in February 2021. It became apparent that there was a need in the surrounding amateur radio community for a Club that could be a benefit to any and all operators and skillsets. We strive to offer support in the many avenues of amateur radio. Alpha Radio Club is very diverse. No matter if you are new to amateur radio or a seasoned operator, Alpha Radio Club is here to assist and encourage you on your amateur radio path. Our goal is to further amateur radio, become an asset to the community, learn, teach, fellowship, be inclusive to all amateur operators, and have a whole lot of fun doing it.

ALPHA RADIO CLUB is an ARRL Affiliated Club. We fully acknowledge and support all ARRL Public Service Resources in any and all their events, functions, and participation of any Amateur Radio event.

The Amateur's Code

by Paul M. Segal, W9EEA (1928)

The Radio Amateur is:

CONSIDERATE - Never knowingly operating in such a way as to lessen the pleasure of others.

LOYAL - Offering loyalty, encouragement, and support to other amateurs, local clubs, and the American Radio Relay League, through which Amateur Radio in the United States is represented nationally and internationally.

PROGRESSIVE - With knowledge abreast of science, a well built and efficient station, and operation beyond reproach.

FRIENDLY - With slow and patient operation when requested, friendly advice and counsel to the beginner, kindly assistance, co-operation and consideration for the interests of others. These are the hallmarks of the amateur spirit.

BALANCED - Radio is an avocation, never interfering with duties owed to family, job, school, or community.

PATRIOTIC - With station and skill always ready for service to country and community
