- Description:

The Narragansett Bay Amateur Radio Club operates the NB1RI Repeater Network originally built and maintained by Steve Hodell KA1RCI/SK. This is a linked repeater system covering all of Rhode Island and parts of Southeastern Massachusettes and Eastern Conneticut. The system includes 8 2 meter repeaters, redundant 70cm links, and is continually improving. We recently added 2 220 MHz repeaters, a DMR linked talk group (Brandmeister 3105992), Allstarlink (2350), and Echolink (NB1RI/R).
We work closely with RI COMU WA1USA on some communicaions projects, and help the Fidelity Amateur Radio Club and Exeter-West Greenwich School Amateur Radio Club maintain their repeaters. We're happy to colloborate on projects that build systems and networks that are useful for AUXCOMM in times of need, and useful to Radio Amateurs at other times.
We carry the RI ARES Repeater Nets and the RI Swap and Sell Net as well as the weekly Skywarn Net and we are monitored by NWS Boston/Norton for SKYWARN reports during severe weather.
