The Central Vermont Amateur Radio Club (CVARC) meets once a month on the first Wednesday at 6 PM. All are welcome. The current meeting location is at Norwich University in Northfield VT. (Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, all in-person meetings have been cancelled until further notice. Please check the website for the most up to date information.)
We support a wide range of activities, experiences, and support for hams. The club operates local repeaters in Cabot, VT (146.820) and Williamstown, VT (146.625). Every year we hold a Field Day exercise in Central Vermont, usually operating on both HF and 6 meter VHF. Many monthly meetings include a presentation on a topic of interest to radio amateurs.
VE exams are offered on the second Thursday of the month at 6 PM at the Barre Public Safety building, 15 Fourth Street, Barre VT.
CVARC is a general interest club that touches on all areas of amateur radio without specializing in any one. Whether you are interested in CW, digital modes, SSB, FM, whether you operate on HF or VHF/UHF and up, and whether you are interested in contesting, DX, or rag-chewing, you'll find that we are there!
