The West Seattle Amateur Radio Club is your best-bet for social contact or technical assistance from the local hams in West Seattle. The club has a rich history stretching back to the 1930's. We offer weekly radio nets on three club repeaters using the club call of W7AW and hold monthly breakfasts in West Seattle. Our membership represents decades of experience, are active POTA, SOTA, GOTA, Field Day, and contest participants using voice, CW and various digital modes. And, we can provide a wide range technical and operational support.
We have an evolving MESH system with monthly meetings, and a new winlink node. Our repeaters are located at Highpoint, the highest point in the Seattle and affording 360-degree coverage for the Puget Sound region.

The club offers licensing classes to become a ham radio operator. Classes and exams are available for anyone interested in joining our community. If you live or operate in the West Seattle area, or can get to West Seattle from where you live or operate, please join us.
The West Seattle Amateur Radio Club supports local community preparedness. Seattle's citizens should be preparing for a range of events from winter storms to serious earthquakes. Our members practice with local Community Hubs to relay information to and from the City of Seattle Emergency Operations Center. All members are encouraged to work with Seattle's Auxiliary Communications Service (ACS). Join us in helping West Seattle create a disaster resilient community.
