The last few years, this contest has been a bust for me.

So this year I was not expecting any differant.Either I could only work a few hours and/or the propagation would not co-operate. Regardless my scores were depressing.

Friday night started out as usual..no propagation.I could hear the 4/5 land in the static,but forget about transmitting any  meaningful distance.That would have to wait till morning.

I got up early on Sat,about 8:30,and was suprized Europe was very active. I was not used to this activity. In fact Sat was the most fun I've had on this band in years. The band was stable the entire day and I worked stations all weekend. The equipment here is an Icom IC-738 and an Hustler BTV verticle.

Sunday the propagation was OK ,but nowhere as good as Sat. Having done well on Sat, a lot of stations were dupes. But I managed to exceed 100 Q.

I exceeded my goals and finished  with 119 Qsos. I worked AK,HI, Russia and all over Europe and SA...Not to shabby,since I made 20 Qs last year..hope to play again in 2014 and would like to hear all of your calls once again...Thanks..BILL
