This year only provided me time for some daylight operation under the shade tree. It was extraordinarily hot for June in Alabama. Operated the event on battery using the KX-1 and some speaker wire inverted V's. What a fine rig the KX-1. 20m and 40m were great from my end and at some times so crowded I could hardly fit in. I had so much fun, and the operators were FB and a joy to work. Exciting to listen to all the different keys, fists, and rigs sending. As always, I enjoyed working field day with a minimal station set up.
