07/06/2010 | K8ESQ Another great year of fun and story telling at our northern Michigan Field Day location. We operated 3A with 5 operators. The band conditions were good, the food was good, and the rain was not too bad. We set up a VHF station this year, but had technical difficulties and missed out on all the 6M openings. We will try to overcome the problems and do it again next year. We also moved to the N1MM Logger (wireless networked) this year, which after a 2 or 3 hour battle to get everyone working on the network, worked out very well. It is now our Field Day Log of choice. We did manage to put some 200 more Q’s in the log than last year, so we called this year a great success. We all left looking forward to next year. 73 Dave K8ESQ -- K8ESQ
