07/06/2009 | VE3DC Soapbox: The weekend started with a full day of rain, but we managed to get the antenna's up with little difficulty.
We also had the opportunity to see a new tower raising mechanism, for the 80 meter band. A number of helpers came out 17 in total, and visitors 17+. Cable 14 our local cable television came out on Sunday to interview what field day was all about. All our members made comments that this was the best field day they had in many years.
All in all we had a great time, bad weather included.
