01/19/2008 | W0RTK I put my first station together to operate on SKN which was a Globe Scout 65, Hammarlund HQ140X and Heath VF1 vfo, but found it didn't work out very well. Then I put the old Ten Tec on the air and had only time for one QSO, that being with W0WM. What a delight to copy that FB fist during the contact which lasted over 1/2 an hour. I used my home built hand key and resolve to give it more use in 2008 from my location in southwest North Dakota.
