01/04/2008 | NT9K SKN 2008 was a blast. This is my favorite ARRL event. The first QSO of the evening was with Sean, the new Contest Manager operating as W1AW. I worked lots of SKCC members and even a few operating the special event callsign K2A commemorating the 2nd Anniversary of the SKCC. My pick for best fist goes to Dave W1DV, who was operating as K2A/2. Dave is always a pleasure to copy.

I was using 4 keys from my lineup. Mostly, I used my home brew Amplidan, but occasionally I used my new GHD-GT501MIL, Navy Flameproof and my LTA SKCC #37. Rig was TS-870, 100w into inverted vee up 50 feet at the apex for 40 meters. Gap Challenger for 80 and a Cushcraft MA5B for 20 meters. I can't wait until SKN 2009!
