01/02/2008 | K3MD Had limited time available to participate due to a cold and having to work on the first of 2008, but did get in around 8 contacts instead of my usual 20 or so. I have participated in SKN almost continuously since first licensed in 1963, and enjoy it very much. Good to see a resurgence in CW.... I do think that "bug" should not be allowed, I did not have one for the first entire year I was on the air! If we allow "bugs," we should allow HA-1 and HA-4 keyers, they are just as difficult to use. Reserve my antique rigs for the Classic Exchange, a non-contest contest which I "won" this fall, having participated on and off since 1979. I miss the days of the "Chicken fat operators" over-40 WPM ragchew club on 7030.
