07/20/2006 | W8EOC Field Day 2006..great weather, lots of fun operating time, a delicious family picnic dinner, great camaraderie. Hams young and old, new and experienced, worked together and shared ideas putting together the Field Day operation. Inquisitive passer-bys couldnt help but stop and some even made a few QSOs, perhaps we stirred an interest. Aside from all the fun, we gained valuable experience working as a team assembling and operating a portable station, a valuable asset if we are ever called to assist with communications in the event on an emergency. -- K8FH
