07/03/2003 | W4CUE The Birmingham Amateur Radio Club participated in the ARRL Field Day 2003. It was fun. We were located at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama. We were not discouraged and managed to complete our set up tasks while it rained most of the day. We had newspaper and TV coverage. We had many visitors. We had a lot of participation from new hams and people wanting to get their license. We had plenty of food and fun. We had a blast and are looking forward to next year.
